100 Days until projected departure date
Wednesday, September 20th, marks 100 days until our projected departure date! As of late people ask:
“You guys are leaving soon aren’t you, how are things going?” So here’s a brief run down of what we have going on the next 45 days.
- September and October – we have several engagements scheduled*** (sharing our testimony, info on Japan, and what does partnering in our mission look like)
- October 2 – we will drive to Nashville, TN to apply for my Spouse Visa (smooth process; I should have it within two weeks time)
- October 15 – submit Chloe’s Preschool application for enrollment in April, 2018
- October 20 – buy one-way tickets to Tokyo, Japan (if you have airline points you would consider donating or if you work for the airlines and buddy-passes are an option, we totally would be “jacked” about it – email us please!)
- October 30 – Initiate car search for pick-up when we arrive in Tokyo.
*** If you have a small group and would be open to having us share our story, please let us know!
We Expanded our Outreach Ministry
Meg and I had the opportunity to become Certified Disaster Responders with Hope Force International. Japan is one of the most seismically active countries on Earth. The Great East Japan Earthquake in 2011 was the most powerful earthquake in Japan and the 4th most powerful in the world triggering a tsunami with a wall of water 133 feet high leaving nearly 16,000 people dead and displacing over 200,000 people temporarily and/or permanently. We know that an earthquake, tsunami and/or a typhoon are a part of our environment and we want to be ready to go and respond. We want to physically be there for those in crisis. Your support also will fuel this contingency mission and we thank you in advance.
September’s Monthly Support Goal: 25%
We can not do what we are set out to do without a community of believers going with us (financially). What does that look like? A recurring monthly amount of whatever you feel God calls you to. (Of course, this would require some quality time with God, which we highly encourage!)
We are so thankful that many people have approached us and said:
“Hey, I have been meaning to jump on your site and …” OR “my spouse and I want to …” OR “we are going to do something, we just haven’t…”
Hey, I totally get it! I was talking with a friend of mine and we were discussing procrastination. I told him, I own a shirt that says: Procrastinators Unite Tomorrow!
If this is you and you have already prayed about it and God is leading you to join us, I just want to encourage you… do it today!
Where are we now? 4.5%
Our God is a mighty God and we know everything happens on His time and we are confident in his provision through the generosity of so many of you in our community allowing our family to be the hands and feet of Jesus in Japan!
Be apart of the movement and celebrate with us when we announce what God is doing on our next update!
Always Grateful,
Team Adams
